The Center for Agriculture and Food Security and Preparedness, along with The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and UT Extension will host an in-depth training course on Foreign Animal and Emerging Diseases, August 8-12, 2011, at the UT Conference Center, downtown Knoxville. This event is also sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture and includes speakers with international expertise.
This course provides an excellent opportunity for veterinarians, veterinary technicians, veterinary students and UT Extension. Other allied professionals who are responsible for foreign animal disease outbreak response will find this training beneficial. Concerns over the potential threat of agroterrorism in the United States makes this course especially timely. Individuals in private practice, academia, industry and government are encouraged to attend.
